The sale they have now is 20% off on drapes if they install and measure (that's the catch - it is $95-150 to measure depending how much you have measured and the install is by the linear foot of the rod (3' being the smallest length) - I can't remember what she said that rate was. #CALICO CORNERS FABRIC FREE#On the other hand, CC *does* make things easy and the free in-house designer is great - it used to be a flat $75 fee for a two-hour consult b/4 the economic downturn. So, if you are able to measure yourself, get everything installed, and get the fabric and send off to a seamstress - you will save more than any sale that CC has. I've also found many CC fabrics online and they are about 10% cheaper - and without tax. Someone told me about Village Workroom - they are about 1/3 of the price - I believe they are one of the places CC outsources to. And I have to still wait for the concrete solution on the issues we have reported. We are now only 24 HOURS away from closing date. I wish this meeting had scheduled earlier. ![]() Verbally they are promising in the future (before warranty expires), if the paint starts peeling off, they will paint the whole structure once again. Stairway paint : Builder is not ready to take care of it right now. And counter in front of the Pantry is also chipped off at multiple places. Since seams of the counter has visible gap and backsplash joint behind the sink and joint in front of the sink is also not aligned. I hope builder will agree on changing everything. ![]() When I went to choose 3 slabs, granite guy suggested me to choose from the same lot otherwise each slab will be different since it is natural stone. My granite is White Spring and it has lot of characters and variations and also color changes with the every new slab. And said they will ask me to approve the slab for granite that is matching with the rest of the counters. Builder verbally agreed on changing the island only. #CALICO CORNERS FABRIC PLUS#Plus today they found more issues including small cracks in the island. Builder team inspected the granite island with us and we showed them all the pictures we had taken before they filled the chipped areas. The fabric looks almost like silk II and it had this cris-cross on top of the fabric and where the lines crossed and met, a silky little puffy ball was attached. This fabric that caught my eye~ because it is stunning. UNFORTUNATELY, the picture posted the color is hard for me to tell if JoAnne's Fabric Store carried this exact color. I think they had it in about 4 different colors. ![]() Oh my gosh ! Just this evening, my partner and I were at JoAnne's Fabric Store in St Louis, Missouri and I think they carried this fabric. Any drapery does cut out SOME of the natural light and the addition of floor lamp or table lamps to make adequate lighting is always important. You most likely will have the drapery open during the day to still allow some light into the space, but can be pulled across in the evening for coziness and privacy. If they are not sheer, but are a solid colour or a pattern, they will also add visual interest and another layer to the room which will enhance the room if the colour or pattern compliments the items in your room. If your drapery is somewhat sheer it will add softness and still allow some light into the room. #CALICO CORNERS FABRIC WINDOWS#Second commenter has the perfect solution for the spacing of your windows that you have. If you feel you need fabric drapery to soften the space to balance the harder finishes of stone, wood furniture and leather sofa, than it is understandable that you feel the room would benefit from using your drapery. First commenter has a point about the light factor. You have received 2 very good pieces of advice. ![]()
